In early 2019, Halford Busby began working with PWP Landscape and Architecture to provide three estimates on campus enhancements for UT at Dallas, phase III. Halford Busby provided cost estimates at Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents phases. Halford Busby also participated in the reconciliation process with Linbeck Group, LLC, the construction manager at risk for the project.
This initiative focused on improving the pedestrian experience, restoring Cottonwood Creek and insuring the creation of a legacy tree canopy throughout the campus. Specifically, this project included transforming Rutford Avenue into a 24-foot-wide pedestrian promenade as well as paving, walkways, metals (railing, fencing, etc.), painting, signage, site furnishings, site lighting, storm water pollution prevention, irrigation and drainage, planting of trees and other plants, and pavers. The gross square footage of this project totaled 637,000 square feet of improvements and was slated for completion in late spring 2021.
