The Long-Term Care Spinal Cord Injury Facility at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Dallas campus resembles a master-planned community that will serve American Veterans with spinal cord injuries who need a long-term care. The facility was specifically designed to serve the unique needs of individuals with spinal cord injuries, while creating a warm community feel. Indoor and outdoor areas were planned to encourage loved ones to visit with residents. Outdoor meditation areas, gardens, shuffleboard, game tables and dining areas emphasize the community aspect for residents and their guests.
