Based on the generous donation of land acreage to Texas A&M – San Antonio by an alumni, the university is embracing aggressive growth to accommodate the expected increase in its student population. The master plan also centralizes the university onto one campus. Halford Busby provided estimating services on the following new buildings:

  1. The new Central Academic Building includes an auditorium, food service, student affairs spaces, student gathering spaces, administrative offices, classrooms, and the School of Arts and Sciences.
    207,347 SF
  2. The new Multi-Purpose Building (now called the Senator Frank L. Madla Building) specifically was designed to embrace the community’s culture and values, which is quite evident in the architecture and design features.
    90,347 SF
  3. The Patriots’ Casa primarily serves the A&M-SA student veterans and their families, and ROTC students.
22,057 SF with several acres of grounds
